Information we collect
We collect your email address, verified account identifier, job preferences, credit balance, unlocked jobs and subscription records. We use a random browser device identifier and a hashed device claim to prevent repeat free-credit claims. IP addresses may appear in service security logs; our credit claim records store a hashed IP value. We collect usage information needed to operate and protect the service.
How we use information
We use information to sign you in, match your preferences, provide job access, prevent abuse, manage subscriptions, respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations. Depending on applicable law, our legal grounds include providing the service, legitimate security interests, legal obligations and consent where required.
Payments and service providers
Stripe processes payments and billing. We never store card numbers. Our hosting, account, database and email service providers process information to run CareerDrops. Their processing may occur outside your country, subject to applicable safeguards. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and browser storage
We use necessary cookies and browser storage for sign-in sessions, preferences and a random device identifier. Clearing browser data may remove your preferences or sign you out. We do not currently use advertising cookies. If we add optional analytics or advertising cookies, we will provide appropriate controls.
Retention and security
We retain account and usage information while needed to provide the service, prevent fraud or meet legal obligations. Billing records may be retained as required by law. Free-credit claim records may remain for fraud prevention after account deletion. No security measure guarantees absolute protection.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability or restriction, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Contact us to make a request. We may verify your identity and retain information legally required or necessary to prevent abuse. You may complain to your local data protection authority.
